“PixCells 3D explores the organic as an inner landscape where light, matter, and memory interact.”

A huge cube of caul fat that seems to radiate light from within, PixCells 3D is an installation that explores the human body, memory, and the environment.

The caul fat, a membrane connecting two viscera, is used here as a symbol of a cell—this time a “cubic” one—to echo the shape of the cube and our social bodies, now filtered by ubiquitous screens. An organic form adapted to a virtual future, like the trace of a memory to come.

A veritable organ-pump irrigating the rest of the exhibition, the installation diffuses images of fluids and viscera in motion on its walls. The networks of the membrane, traversed by light, are reminiscent of our communication systems.

PixCells 3D thus becomes a fragment of a being that once lived, an organism traversed by flows, informations, and circulations—a piece of life.
